BART is a member of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard organization.  The U.S. Ski and Snowboard is the national governing body of competitive skiing and snowboarding in the United States 

The U.S. Ski and Snowboard organization ensures that race officials are certified in their specified areas; coaches, officials, and volunteers undergo background checks associated with Safesport; and that athletes train and race in a safe environment. 

Under U.S. Ski and Snowboard organization guidelines, each participant of BART must also be a U.S. Ski and Snowboard organization member.  Memberships must be purchased annually. 

It is the responsibility of parents to purchase their membership for each child that is a member of the Bluewood Ski Team.  These membership fees are not included in the Bluewood Ski Team tuition.

For Bluewood Blazer’s members of BART, a purchase of Alpine General non-competitor for $35.00 is all that is required for U.S. Ski and Snowboard membership. 

For BART YSL and Junior members of BART, purchase Alpine Competitor age category that is listed as options for membership purchases $100-$200.

**Due insurance reasons, BART cannot allow any child to participate without a USSA membership for the current ski season.**
