The Bluewood Alpine Ski Racing Program provides young athletes with a progressive pathway to develop strong skiing fundamentals, technical racing skills, confidence, and a lifelong passion for the sport. Our experienced coaches emphasize age-appropriate training, individual athlete development, sportsmanship, and teamwork in a fun, supportive, and competitive environment.
Our program offers opportunities for athletes at different stages of development:
U8 (Ages 6–7): Introduction to ski racing through fun, skill-based activities focused on balance, coordination, turning fundamentals, and basic gate navigation.
U10–U12 (Ages 8–11): Youth Ski League racing, emphasizing technical skill development, race fundamentals, course tactics, and an introduction to organized competition.
U14–U18 (Ages 12–17): Junior racing with more advanced technical training, race tactics, physical preparation, and increased competitive opportunities.
Athlete Progression
Our development pathway allows athletes to progress at their own pace, from learning fundamental skiing skills and experiencing their first races to refining advanced techniques and pursuing higher levels of competition. Coaches evaluate each athlete’s skills, confidence, goals, and readiness to help guide their development.
At Team Bluewood, success is measured not only by race results but also by personal improvement, dedication, teamwork, and a lifelong love of skiing.
